Rosalind Gilchrist is a Masters Level social worker and therapist with a specialization in trauma, addictions, and mental health in youth and adults. She has provided counselling and services to children, youth, and families for 27 years in a variety of settings.  Rosalind practices individual, couple and family therapy.  She has a special interest in family therapy, parent education, and risk assessment to strengthen and support family life.

Assessment and treatment is provided through Rosalind under the direction and supervision of Dr. Shari Mayman, Anchor Psychological Services. Rosalind works with a wide range of emotional difficulties. She works collaboratively with service providers including  diversion, mental health, and health care professionals, with appropriate consents, to provide good care.  Rosalind has extensive experience providing consultation, collaboration, and mental health & addiction counselling in the school system, as well as training to provide culturally appropriate therapy to indigenous populations of Canada.

Rosalind treats a wide range of problems: anxiety, depression, substance abuse, trauma, GLBTQ issues, concurrent disorders, and disordered eating. She uses a wide range of techniques and treatments, and tailor my approach to the needs of the individual and family. When possible, Rosalind includes family and significant others in the assessment and treatment plan from a culturally sensitive framework. Depending on the needs of the client, she will work with different combinations of the family throughout the process and provide services and education to parents on their own to help them, help their children.
