About the Event

Recognizing Self-Generated Obstacles in Recovery A FREE In-Person MHASO Interactive Workshop

Date: August 5, 2025 Time: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM Location: 200–1489 Merivale Road, Ottawa, ON, K2E 5P3

Recovery can be a challenge when old skills and mindsets no longer serve us. In this interactive, in-person workshop, facilitator Mark Nasmith will guide participants through a reflective process of identifying habits, beliefs, and assumptions that may be unintentionally standing in the way of progress.

Drawing from his own experience recovering from PTSD and addiction, Mark will share how recognizing and releasing outdated coping mechanisms can support long-term recovery and personal growth.

This workshop will help you:

  • Recognize personal habits or mindsets that hinder recovery

  • Understand how old survival skills may conflict with new recovery needs

  • Begin shifting your approach toward healthier, more supportive behaviours

Open to anyone in recovery — space is limited, so register today!
