MHASO, Mental Health and Addiction Services of Ottawa

Odera Odenigbo

BSc, BA(H), MA, Registered Psychotherapist

I am a Registered Psychotherapist based in Ottawa with a strong academic foundation and extensive experience in trauma therapy, addiction recovery, and mental health care. My practice is grounded in a client-centred, trauma- and violence-informed approach that fosters a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space for healing and growth.

I work with children (10+), adolescents, and adults, offering specialized support for individuals experiencing sexual and gender-based trauma, childhood and racial trauma, substance use disorders, emotional dysregulation, anxiety, and other mental health challenges. I recognize that each person’s journey is unique and strive to meet clients with compassion, respect, and care.

My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness-based practices, and somatic therapy. I focus on self-compassion, empowerment, and skill-building to help clients process past trauma and create lasting, meaningful change.

I value the power of collaboration in the therapeutic relationship and am honoured to support clients on their path toward emotional well-being. I remain dedicated to ongoing professional development to ensure I provide the highest quality of care.

I am available for virtual and in-person appointments.
