Student RP (Qualifying)

Todd is a student in the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program at Yorkville University. He is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and a student member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.

While new to the counselling field, Todd has worked in the substance use and addictions field for more than 15 years mainly in programming and policy development. Todd has experience working through substance use and addiction issues, trauma, loss and grief, anxiety and stress, and helping to rediscover meaning and purpose.

Todd believes in a holistic approach toward mental health and wellness and meeting a client where they are at, bringing in empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgemental approach into the therapy. He employs a person centred approach, and uses positive psychology and cognitive behaviour therapy techniques.

Todd is a proud Metis man and a member of the Metis Nation of Ontario. He holds a Business Administration diploma from Algonquin College, a degree in Business Administration from Davenport University, and a Master of Liberal Arts in Extension Studies (Management) from Harvard University. Outside of work, Todd enjoys travelling, camping, and staying connected to his Indigenous culture.

Todd has availability to walk with you on your mental health and wellness journey and as a student with MHASO, his services are available at no cost.
