Karin is a registered psychotherapist with thirteen years of experience in one-on-one counselling and in groups. Most of her professional experience and expertise is in working with individuals struggling with Borderline Personality Disorder, PTSD, Anxiety Disorders, Depressive Disorders, Grief, Loss and Substance Use. She specializes in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and uses other psychotherapy methods of Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to meet client’s needs and goals.
Karin strives to establish an open and honest dialogue with her clients while creating a non-judgmental and safe space for her clients to communicate their experiences, needs and challenges. She believes that developing a trusting and authentic therapeutic relationship allows for honesty and client growth, healing and change. She focuses on empowering her clients in their own abilities and strengths to find the answers and path that is right for them to cope and heal.
Karin has completed several graduate courses in counselling and spirituality. She continues to participate in on going training and workshops to broaden her knowledge and skills.
Karin works with individuals aged 17 & older.
