

Shekhar Gupta
BSW Student
Shekhar Gupta is a fourth-year Bachelor of Social Work student specializing in Indigenous Studies at Laurentian University. He has a strong interest in holistic health and wellness, with a background in lifestyle practices, nutrition, Ayurveda, and broader medical and healthcare knowledge. Guided by a compassionate and culturally informed perspective, Shekhar values approaches to care that recognize the connection between mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Currently completing his practicum at Mental Health and Addictions Services of Ottawa (MHASO), Shekhar is gaining experience supporting individuals through mental health and addiction-related services, including programs such as SMART Recovery, while further developing his therapeutic skills. He hopes to pursue a Master of Social Work and continue expanding his knowledge across a range of therapeutic modalities to better support diverse individuals and communities through an integrative and person-centered approach.
